  • George G. Mosser

    George G. Mosser, 84, of Whipple, went to be with his Savior on July 21, 2022, following his courageous battle with Parkinson’s and cancer. He was born in Marietta, Ohio on November 21, 1937, a son of the late Dale and Elma Mosser.
    He was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He worked at Broughton’s Dairy for 46 years. He was a lifelong member of Fearing Fire Department and Masonic Lodge-0429 of Lebanon, Ohio. He served in the Army National Guard for 10 years.

  • Evelyn Louise Farley

    Evelyn Louise Farley, 93, formerly of Waterford, Ohio ended her life’s journey July 17, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital with family.
    She was born Nov. 11, 1928, the daughter of Vernie and Ruth Brookover of Williamstown, WV. Evelyn had happy childhood in the country riding her Grandpa Pearly’s plowhorse and playing her guitar and singing. She was a 1946 graduate of Williamstown High School and worked at the Crystal Dairy until becoming a bookkeeper for Bonham’s Department Store, Sherwin Williams Paint Co. and Hopkins Pontiac in Marietta.
    After WWII, Evelyn met and married James F. Farley. They had one child, Marian Rosemond. The three were life-long members of the Harmar Hill Church of Christ and loved the Lord with all their hearts.

    Gary Nelson Forsyth, 83, of Marietta, OH, passed away peacefully at Marietta Memorial Hospital on July 13, 2022 surrounded by his wife and children. Gary was born September 21, 1938 in Carmichaels, PA to Kenneth Alvin Forsyth and Wilma Reynolds Forsyth.

    She was born October 10, 1947, in Marietta a daughter of Charles Jacob and Gail Cottrill Henderhan. Carol was employed as a hairdresser. She married John Phillips who preceded her in death.

    Terry Wayne Hanes, 56, of Belpre passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at his home.
    He was born November 10, 1965 at Marietta Memorial to Mabel and Ralph Hanes. Terry is survived by daughter Heather Thompson, son Aiden Hanes, brother Jimmy (Sheila) Hanes, sisters, Brenda Bentley and Phyllis Dana Pickens, nephew Dennis (Priscilla) Oakley, niece Kimberly (Carl) Bunner and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

    Alice L. Noland, 86, of Marietta passed away at 5:00 am, Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was born June 17, 1936, in Cutler, OH, to Lawrence and Margaret Couchenour Noland.
    Alice is survived by her children: Frank Noland, Gerald Noland and Pam Noland all of Marietta; 3 grandchildren: Chauntel Sprague, Kristin Noland and Kassey Noland; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Kilto and Shirley Rayler, brothers, Larry and Frank Noland and several nieces and nephews.
