    Nancy Lee Perine, 54 of Marietta passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at University Hospital of Cleveland. She was born and raised in Marietta by her father Orivlle Perine of Marietta and the late Sharon Gaskins Perine.
    Nancy enjoyed her crafts and was an amazing person with a caring heart.

    Kenneth E. Wriston, Sr., 66, of Marietta passed away at Marietta Memorial Hospital at 2:27 am on October 21, 2022.
    He was born August 10, 1956 to Jim and Patty Wriston. Ken loved hunting, fishing, old model cars, and country and bluegrass music. But most of all, he had a great love for God and his family. He enjoyed spending time with his friends. He had the biggest heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He will be missed so very much.

    Richard A. Wendelken, 80, of Bayville, NJ, passed away on October 21, 2022.
    He was born in Elizabeth, West Virginia and raised in Marietta Ohio, where he graduated high school and was active in track and field and football. He received a football scholarship and also worked his way through Marietta College, earning a BS degree in business and finance.

    Lester Warren Bigley, 80, died Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
    Lester was born on October 2, 1942 in Marietta, OH to William and Hattie Bigley. He was a tough, hardworking man and was employed for many years with Union #18 as a heavy equipment operator before retiring in 2003.

  • Leonard Berkley “Berk” Perrine

    Leonard Berkley “Berk” Perrine, 73, of Whipple passed away at his home on October 15, 2022 surrounded by his family.
    He was born May 27, 1949 in Shock, WV to Shirley Ralph and Mary Azalea (Carr) Perrine. Berk was a 1967 graduate of Wirt County High School and was drafted in 1969 into the US Army. He served in Company C – 1st Battalion 2nd Infantry and the 1st Infantry 5th Army. Berk had been employed at Wood County Bank, EDS and had retired from JBPC Systems. He enjoyed working on classic cars, going on campouts, cooking and just spending time with family and friends

  • Sigrid Swaney

    Sigrid Swaney, 83, of Marietta lost her battle to cancer on Friday, October 14, 2022, at her home. She was born on January 4, 1939, in Erfurt, Germany (moving to Marietta in the late 1950’s) a daughter of the late Rudolf and Marianne Bolens Guelland.
    Sigrid was well traveled and enjoyed her annual trips to Germany whenever she could. She also enjoyed trips abroad to favorite vacation destinations such as Greece, Turkey and Egypt.
    Sigrid returned to Marietta for her retirement in October 2020 after working for 29 years as a Tour Director and owner of Swaney Tours in New York.
