William F. Bee, 71, of Marietta passed away at 4:08 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell.
Bill was born on February 21, 1951 at Celina, OH to William E. and Marjorie A. Singer Bee. He retired in 2009 from Eramet maintenance department and was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. He enjoyed many vacations with family and friends.
Gerald E. Hill, 87, of Macksburg passed away at 6:15 am, Wednesday, September 28, 2022. He was born September 4, 1935 in Reno, OH, a son of Clifton A. and Wanda May Becker Hill.
Gerald had been employed at Inter Lake Steel and Globe Metals. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1953 and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He attended the Waterford Church of the Nazarene and a member of Lowell American Legion Post 750. Gerald was a wonderful father and grandfather to many.
Larry Lee Rake, 84, of Marietta passed away at 2:04 pm, Monday, September 26, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on 22 December 1937 in Dart, Ohio to Robert and Ruth (Kiggans) Rake.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was retired U S Army Reserve Command Sergeant Major and also retired from the laborers union and Greenless Construction Company. He was a valued member of Souls Harbor Church.
Ruth Dailey, 96, of Fleming passed away at 5:55 pm, Friday, September 23, 2022 at Harmar Place. She was born September 30, 1925 in Marietta a daughter of Loring and Lulu Mosser Wilhelm.
Ruth had been employed by William Putnam and Sons, Remington Rand and Washington County Extension Office as a secretary. She was a member of Sixth & Washington Church of Christ and was a 4H leader for 19 years.
Vaughn E. Thacker, 66, of Marietta passed away at 9:10am,Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 14, 1956 in Marietta a son of Clifford and Mabel Burchett Thacker. Vaughn was a free-lance construction worker. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Ernest G. Cottrell, 76, of Newport passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born October 21, 1945 at Fairmont, WV, to Marion and Dollie Runnions Cottrell.
Courtney Day Hupp Saint John, 34, entered eternal life on September 21, 2022. She was born on June 3, 1988, the eldest of four children born to Michael A. and Tara L. Hunter Hupp. She was unquestionably her parents’ favorite daughter.
Courtney was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio, having graduated from Marietta High School in 2006. She briefly attended Ohio University and lived in Athens, Ohio before her wanderlust took her elsewhere. She lived for a time in Albuquerque, New Mexico, then State College, Pennsylvania, before settling in Detroit, Michigan where she happily lived for the past seven years.
