  • Oral “Tony” Starcher

    Oral “Tony” Starcher, 78, of Stockport passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Waterview Pointe.
    He was born May 7, 1943, in Spencer, WV, a son of Charles and Gertrude Carpenter Starcher. Tony had been employed at Kardex for many years and enjoyed painting, archery, fishing, camping and gardening. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during Vietnam.

  • Frances Ann Miller

    Frances Ann Miller, 83, of Marietta passed away on Monday, February 1, 2022, at Harmar Place. She was born on May 9, 1938, in Marietta a daughter of William and Lurena Grimes Jordon.
    Frances graduated from Lawrence High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Frances was a licensed beautician.  She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, going to church and singing in the choir and loved her grandchildren.

  • Dale C. Selan

    Dale C. Selan, 70, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born on September 28, 1951, in Cleveland, OH, a son of Carl and Margaret Dalso Selan. Dale retired from ITT Engineered Valve Company. He was a member of Marietta Boat Club and Jeremiah’s Coffee Club.

  • Donna Jean Schafer

    Donna Jean Schafer, 79, of Marietta passed away at 10:30 am on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Heartland of Marietta.
    Donna was born February 10, 1943 in Marietta a daughter of Ernest Roger Schafer and Anna Louise Hupp Schafer. She work at Marietta Memorial Hospital in the Dietary Dept. and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading.

  • Terry Ray Seevers

    Terry Ray Seevers, 52, of Belpre passed away on January 30, 2022, at MMH surrounded by his loved ones.
    Terry, who was born January 8, 1970, attended Marietta High School and served in the Navy for 21 years on the USS Nassau. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. After retiring from the Navy, he became employed by HiVac. Terry enjoyed time spent with friends, family and his grandkids.

  • Thelma Moffett

    Thelma Moffett, 96, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born on October 14, 1925, at Whipple, OH, to the late Gilbert W. and Marie Maddox Treadway.
    Thelma attended Marietta High School and was a faithful member of the Marietta/Reno Church of Christ. She liked to crochet, do crossword puzzles, play cards and was noted for her delicious pies.
    Thelma married Fred Moffett and was a homemaker. Soon after they were married, they moved to Florida where they made their home for 48½ years. Thelma returned to the Ohio Valley after her husband’s death. She is survived by several nephews and nieces and special friends, Steven and Kara Foutty.

  • William C. Mullins

    William C. Mullins, 90, died of pancreatic cancer Friday evening (January 28, 2022) enroute from Marietta Memorial Hospital to home. The last words he heard were from an ambulance attendant who said “Thank you for your service.”
    Bill/Moon was born at home on Broadway Avenue, South Parkersburg to Carl Ezra and Edna Maude Shawver Mullins on April 12, 1931 and was the eldest of five children. He attended Lauckport Baptist Church and graduated from Parkersburg High School. Bill married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn L. Brake June 19, 1951. Bill fathered five children, each born in a different state/country.
