  • Norman Rush Wilkinson

    NORMAN RUSH WILKINSON, 84, of Marietta, Ohio, went home to glory on August 12, 2022, in the company of his wife and daughter, at the Central Ohio Hospice Center in the Ohio State University Hospital, after a long and extensive illness. NORMAN was born on March 1, 1938, in Whipple, Ohio, to William Warden Wilkinson and Helen Irene (Warren) Wilkinson Sipe. He was the grandson of William and Anna (Gutheil) Warren and Harry and Della (Green) Wilkinson.
    NORMAN’s family lived in Stowe, Kent, and Akron before settling at the family farm between Whipple and Lower Salem. He attended Lower Salem High School where he enjoyed playing bass drum in the Lower Salem High School band and the All-County Band, played basketball, and participated in Rocket Club. He graduated in 1958.

  • Thomas J. Clark

    Thomas J. Clark, 74, of Marietta passed away at 5:45 am, Thursday August 11, 2022 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 11, 1948 in Perry County, Ohio.
    Tom had been employed by Noble County Correctional Center and was a master carpenter. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a member of Marietta Church of God.

  • Sonny “PJ” Reynolds

    Sonny “PJ” Reynolds, 51, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 11th  in Amarillo, TX. He was born in Marietta to Harry “Sonny” Reynolds & Linda (Seevers) Reynolds. Sonny graduated from Frontier high school in 1989. He was a driver for USA Ready Mix Co. in Panama City, FL. Sonny was a fun-loving, all-around great guy, without a mean bone in his body. He’d give you the shirt off his own back even if it was all he had. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, and boating.

  • Glen L. Daugherty

    Glen L. Daugherty, 70, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022. He was born January 5, 1952, in Marietta a son of Chet and Norma Neville Daugherty.
    Glen was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 53, Local 93. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Marines and served in Vietnam from 10/25/1971 to 1/6/1972 and was awarded the Vietnam Service Metal. He was a member of VFW 5108. He enjoyed bumper pool and was known for his competitive nature that he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

  • Dorothy Ruth Barnhart Pierpoint

    Dorothy Ruth Barnhart Pierpoint went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 10, 2022.
    She was born in Warner, OH, on December 2, 1923 to Homer and Clara Lauer Barnhart.
    Dorothy graduated from Salem Liberty and was the last surviving member of her class.

  • Frank Dettorre

    Frank Dettorre, 99, WWII Air Force veteran, of Marietta, Ohio, passed from this life peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, August 8, 2022.
    He was born August 20, 1922, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of Patsy and Leona Paoloemelio Dettorre and was so looking forward to his 100th birthday. Frank was employed and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was formerly a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Steubenville and First Baptist Church upon moving to Marietta.

  • Edward Bodie Kiggans

    Edward Bodie Kiggans, 87, of Marietta passed away at 5:34 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 1, 1935, at Archers Fork a son of Clarence and Lucille West Kiggans.
    Bodie was retired from American Cyanamid/Cytec and had served during Korea in the U. S. Army. He was a devoted member of Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years.
