  • Curtis Lew Dehmlow

    Curtis Lew Dehmlow, M.D., age 80, passed away on Saturday evening, August 7, at his home in Marietta, surrounded by his children. He survived his beloved wife, Marilyn, by four months.
    Curtis was born on October 11, 1940 in Elgin, Illinois to Arnold and Ruth Dehmlow. After high school, he attended Elgin Community College in Illinois and DePauw University in Indiana. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana prior to completing his Doctor of Medicine at the same institution in 1966. He interned at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, followed by his residency and cardiology fellowship at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On July 18, 1964, he married Marilyn Taylor of Flushing, OH. From September 18, 1967 to September 15, 1968, he served in the United States Army during the war in Vietnam. He was Battalion surgeon in the 20th Engineer Battalion of the 18th Engineer Brigade at Pleiku. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
    In 1972, the family moved to Marietta, Ohio, where he started his private practice and was affiliated with Marietta Memorial Hospital as the first Internal Medicine Specialist in the area. For 45 years, he served Marietta and the surrounding communities. His commitment to and compassion for his patients was evident. In his spare time, he enjoyed working outside on his farm, where he enjoyed wood-working and gardening. He also was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Another passion was his love for classical music, attending Cleveland Symphony Orchestra concerts when time allowed. He and Marilyn enjoyed traveling and taking road trips. His children are forever blessed by the unconditional love and dedication he showed as a father and husband. His influence will live on in each of his children and grandchildren. His faith in Jesus Christ, and devotion to his wife and children, were of prime importance in his daily living.

  • Mary Marty Morris

    Mary Marty Morris, 91, of Marietta passed away August 6, 2021 at Waterview Pointe in Marietta. She was born on April 12, 1930 in Marietta to Roy and Gladys Morris and was the last surviving of 9 children.
    Marty had been employed as a supervisor at the McCall Corporation in Dayton before moving back to Marietta to help with the family business, the Harmar Grocery Store. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing many different sports. Most of all Marty loved to spend time with all of her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

  • Donna L. Cline

    Donna L. Cline, 80, of Devola passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 19, 1940 a daughter of Howard and Grace Plummer in Seaman, Ohio and raised in Nelsonville.
    Donna loved the Lord and mostly everything, especially gardening, sewing and painting and her grandchildren. She attended Holtzer Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN for several years before raising her family.

    Judith A. Borman Hendrickson, 74, of Marietta passed away at 5:20 pm, Monday, August 2, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born December 11, 1946, in Marietta a daughter of Blufford and Edna Hupp Borman.
    Judy was a homemaker and a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church.

  • Andrew (Andy) Bryant Tucker

    Andrew “Andy” Tucker, 38, of Portsmouth (formerly of Marietta) left this earth on Monday July 19, 2021. He was born July 6, 1983 in Marietta to Troy A. Tucker and Stephanie D. Auker Tucker DeVaughn.
    Andy was a part of the N.A. Community where he had been a mentor for his peers. Many people had looked to Andy as a great source of support, encouragement, and understanding. He loved spending time with his family and going to the lake. Andy enjoyed spending time in the gym and visiting Thrift Stores.

  • Robert Leo Davis

    Robert Leo Davis, 88, of Marietta passed away at 9:45am, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta. He was the son of Leo and Francis Davis.
    Bob received his Masters Degree at Arizona State University and was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korea War. He was Production Manager for IT & T Corp.
    On October 9, 1954, he married Grace Devol, who preceded him in death on September 7, 2009. He is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter: Mark (Ruth) Davis and Greg Davis of Marietta and Susie Davis of Ruckersville, VA, daughter-in-law Mary Davis of Marietta, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and brother Tom Davis.

  • Clarence D. Moore

    Clarence D. Moore, 84, of Marietta passed away at 7:45 pm, Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born on March 22, 1937 in Washington County a son of Clarence Edward and Dina Long Moore. Clarence was employed as a laborer and mechanic.
    He is survived by his wife, Mary Rutter Moore and 2 sons and one daughter: Brian Keith (Linneau) Moore, Larry Dean (Teri) Moore, Tamela Sue (Dennis) Davis all of Marietta; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His parents and daughter Karen Lee preceded him in death.
