Arletta Freeland

Arletta Freeland, 75, of Belpre passed away at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 29, 1942, in Marietta to John and Anna Clasey Freeland. Arletta was employed at Marietta College and Shoney’s in the food preparation area.

Arletta is survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters: John Oliver of Marietta, Eddie (Dee) Oliver of Lowell, David Oliver of Marietta, Tony (Angie) Oliver of Lowell, Sherry (Greg) Whipkey of Belpre, Brenda Oliver of Marietta, 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister: Ronnie (Jean) Freeland of Paden City, WV, Lester (Barb) Freeland of Caldwell, Bobby (Joyce) Freeland of Oak Grove, Keith (Julia) Freeland of Marietta, Barbara (Lowell) Foreman of Barlow and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Russell Freeland, grandson Connor Hilton and 3 infant sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (June 21) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral home with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home before the service from 11:00 until 1:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
