Arminta J. Lee

Arminta J. Lee, 105 years old, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at 3:00 am at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born on April 22, 1904, in Elba, Ohio, a daughter of Anna Elizabeth Phelps and David Elvin Baker.  Arminta was a member of the Lower Salem United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

In June of 1932, she married Homer R. Lee who preceded her in death in 1973.

Arminta is survived by her daughter Helen (Dean) Kehl of Whipple and grandchildren:  Daniel (Marilyn) Kehl of Lowell, Bruce (Lisa) Kehl of Marietta, and Jane (Mark) Eakle of Whipple.  Also surviving are great grandchildren: Mathew Carpenter, Kala Shilling, Mark Kehl, Elaina and Lauren Eakle and  great, great grandchildren: Mikayla Carpenter, Cole and Kali Shilling and Isabella Kehl.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Gale, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (June 15th) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Lou Verdi officiating.  Burial will be in Salem Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 with family present from 1-5. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lower Salem United Methodist Church or the Lower Salem Volunteer Fire Department.
