Ava Bradley
Ava Bradley, 83, of Marietta, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
She was born in Marietta on December 6, 1927, a daughter of Kenneth and Marie Harris Johnson. Ava was a homemaker who loved to sew, crochet, watch birds and enjoyed her family. On June 10, 1947, she married Dwight Bradley who preceded her in death on December 5, 1982.
She is survived by 1 son and 3 daughters; Melanie (Gene) Wagner of Marietta, George (Evelyn) Bradley of Garland, TX, Angela (Butch) Wardeska of Beverly, Ida Davidson and friend Jeff Cremeans of Coolville; grandchildren: John Kuhn, Stephanie Kuhn and friend Mike Jarvis, Jason (Melinda) Place; step grandsons, Ron (Cheryl) Wagner and Sean Cherry; great grandchildren: John Kuhn III, Brittany Ramage, Brandon Ramage, Michael Jarvis III; step great grandchildren: Nathan Wagner, Zachary Wagner, Abby Wagner and great, great granddaughter Chloe Overly. She is also survived by sisters: Herma Eddy and Arlene Sheppard, sister-in-law Wanda Johnson, brother-in-law Dave Bradley, step brothers-in-law Charles Johnson and Carl Johnson, step sister-in-law Marie Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Kenneth Johnson, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (August 30) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Roger Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8. .
