Barbara Corner McCarthy

Barbara Corner McCarthy, 75, of Marietta passed away 5:00 pm, Friday, September 14, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center – St. Jospeh’s.

She was born in Marietta on August 30, 1937 to the late George S and Grace Virgelene (Hall) Corner. She was a graduate of Marietta High School and had been employed at Union Carbide. Barbara was a 43-year member of the American Legion Post 64 Woman’s Auxiliary and the VFW Post 5108 Ladies Auxiliary.

On November 29, 1968 she married Bernard Vincent McCarthy who preceded her in death on April 17, 1997.

Memorial Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday. September 29th at the Chapel of East Lawn Memorial Park. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Messages of sympathy may be sent at mslfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Post 64 Woman’s Auxiliary or Human Society of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
