Barbara L. White

Barbara Lynn White, 48, of Vincent, beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend passed away after a long illness at 11:22 pm on March 11, 2009, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on November 28, 1960, at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma, to Edward T. and Eloise F. Burke White.  She was a 1979 graduate of Warren High School and attended Washington Technical College, graduated from Mountain State College in Parkersburg, WV, graduated from Florida Metropolitan University and was working on her Masters Degree in law from Everest University.  She was a member of the NAACP, Women’s Auxiliary American Legion Post 714 and a member of the Lupus Foundation.  She was a member of Barnett Ridge Wesleyan Methodist Church.  She loved listening to gospel music, her church and her family.

Barbara is survived by her devoted mother Eloise, brother Steve G. White of Las Vegas, NV, sister Karen A. White of Columbus and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, her paternal grandparents Clarence and Jennie Tate-White and her maternal grandparents Joseph H. and Vesta Chandler Burke.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday (March 17) at 1:30 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Lyons officiating.  Burial will be in Rainbow Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 pm on Monday until the hour of the service.
