Berneda Mae Walters Weber

Berneda Mae Walters Weber, 94, of Marietta passed away on Monday, November 02, 2015, at Brookdale, formerly The Inn.  She was born August 28, 1921, in Marietta a daughter of Harry Clessmore and Anna Elizabeth Knoch Walters.
 
She was a 1939 graduate of Marietta High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society.  Berneda had been a housewife and secretary at Marietta High School, Marietta College and the Washington County Veteran’s Office, retiring in 1981.
 
On July 25, 1941, she married her devoted husband of 74 years, Delbert William Weber who survives with 2 sons, Charles Michael (Brenda) Weber of Forest, VA and William Ray (Connie) Weber of Canton, OH, grandchildren: Elisa and Ken Strobel of North Canton, Josh and Erin Weber of Massillon, OH, Michael and Melissa Weber of Dayton, OH, Kyle Weber of Canton, Brenda Simons and John Weber both of Evanston, WY.  Also surviving is a sister Wanda Winslow of Orono, ME, a daughter-in-law Lavonda Weber of Evanston, WY and a special sister-in-law Suzi Walters of Marietta.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, son David Gregory Weber, and brothers Robert and Edgar  Walters. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday (Nov. 5) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hendershot officiating.  Entombment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 4 pm with the family present from 4 to 6:30 pm.
