Betty Hardie
Betty Hardie, 92, of Belpre passed away on April 17, 2026 at Arcadia Nursing Skilled Nursing & Rehab.
She was born in Marietta on October 6, 1933 to Woodrow and Francis Merrow Waterman. She had been employed at the Lafayette Hotel for over 38 years as a cook, before retiring from The Glenwood Community.
On November 28, 1964 she married Berlin “Jerry” Hardie who preceded her in death on July 25, 2006.
Surviving are her sons: Michael Hardie and Glen Hardie several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter Dixie Williamson, sons Roger and Gale Hardie and a sister Margaret Lightfritz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday April 22nd at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Tuesday. Messages of sympathy may be sent at Lankfordfh.com.
