Betty Lou Kuhn

Betty Lou Kuhn, 70, of Little Hocking, Ohio passed away at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born on March 9, 1939, in Ripley, WV, a daughter of Homer and Vesta Robey Koon.  Betty was a homemaker and a member of River Valley Community Church of Nazarene and Disabled American Veteran’s Auxiliary.

On December 11, 1976, she married Roger Kuhn who preceded her in death on August 10, 2000.

Betty is survived by 3 sons and 3 daughters:  David Elswick of Vienna, Kenneth (Brooke) Nichols and Gary (Amy) Nichols both of Parkersburg, Donna (Jerry) Owens of Little Hocking, Elizabeth Knighten of New Matamoras, Angela (Joel) Thompson of Parkersburg, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, her brother Larry Koon of Parkersburg, her sister Wilma (Jim) Cuvelier of Stoutsville, OH and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers:  Donald, Homer, Gary, Jerry Koon, 2 sisters:  Barbara Koon and Lita Kellar Nayedo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (October 17th) at 1:00 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial at East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 on Friday with family present from 2-4 and 6-8.
