Billie Dawn Sims
Billie Dawn Sims, 81 of Marietta Ohio passed away at 1:11am on April 27, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 14, 1943 in Watertown, Ohio to the late William and Virginia Farley.
She attended the Salvation Army and worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store
On December 22, 1962 she married Chester Sims.
She’s proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Chester Sims of 60 years, her brothers Ricky Farley, Bobby Farley, Roger Farley, David Farley, Toby Farley and 1 sister Bonnie Riley.
She is survived by her daughters Ginny (Ray) Ridge, Rhea (Dan) Lantz, Tiffanie (Ralph) Grubbs, April (Craig) Cooper. 11 grandchildren, Stacia Mills, Sarah (Todd) Crawford, Julia (Tyler) Cundiff, Suzanne Marie (Will) Ridge, Michael Ridge; Eric (Shona) Cooper, Brent (Katie) Cooper, Justin (Jenna) Cooper, Caitlin (Mark) Cooper, Tristen Cooper and Marcus Sims, 15 Great Grand Children, Bryce Mills, Gunner and Hensley Crawford, Wyatt and Waylon Cundiff, Lilly and Haylie Mills. Trinity and Ila Williams, Annie and Bentley Cooper, Lillian, Axl and Lyla Cooper and Ivy Sims
She is also survived by 1 brother Ronald (Juanita) Farley, 3 sisters Jean (Alvin) Ludwig. Kay Farley and Malissa (Dale) Lauderman and several nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by her family
Billie didn’t know a stranger; she loved going to the Goodwill and to yard sales and shopping with her family she also loved sewing. She loved taking care of dogs and cats. She loved going to NASCAR races with her husband and family.
We want to say thanks to Amedisys for the wonderful love and care they showed to our mom in the last few weeks of her life
There will be no funeral services per her wishes and she will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army on Front St., Marietta, OH on Friday, May 2 at 1pm a dinner will follow after at the Women’s Club in Williamstown, West Virginia.
