Bonnie B. Patterson

Bonnie B. Patterson, 66, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 17, 1943, in Marietta, a daughter of Virginia and Judd Hollister.  Bonnie attended Marietta High School and worked at Speedway.  She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed her dogs.

On April 27, 2002, she married Russell Patterson who survives with her children:  son James R. Science, Jr. and his wife Connie of Hassfurt, Germany, and their children Sandra, Shandi and Tina and grandchildren, Samantha, Ashly and Bakr; daughter Teri Klase and her husband David and their child:  Brienna and her husband Howard and their children Kyle and Jayden Derenberger and granddaughter Chasiti Science all of Marietta; son Ronald “Scott” Science and his children Ronald Science, Jr. and Miranda Science of Marietta and Brittany Science of Florida and great granddaughter Kaylyn of Marietta.  Also surviving are 2 stepsons:  Kenneth Patterson and Keith Patterson and his wife Sandra and their children Samantha, Amanda and Russell Patterson all of Marietta and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father who raised her, Jack Kimble, her daughter Tonya Ward and brother Jerry J. Kimble.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Bank Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.  On line condolences may be shared at:  www.mslfuneralhome.com.
