Burnita Showalter
Burnita Showalter, 90, of Williamstown passed away 4:48 pm Monday, October 21, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 23, 1923 on Buck Run in Ritchie County, WV to Guy and Ollie (Poole) Dotson. Burnita was a graduate of Williamstown High school and had worked a S.S. Kresge Department Store and at the telephone company as an operator before staying home to raise her family. She was a member of the Riverside Church of Christ and loved to do needle point and read.
Surviving are her children Steven and Terry Showalter both of Williamstown, along with several nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents a brother James Dotson preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, October 24th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Bill Bowen and Bob Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
