Roger L. Radabaugh
Captain Roger L. “Rod” Radabaugh, U. S. Army Reserves, Retired, 85, of Fleming, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 16, 1923, at Constitution, Ohio, to Walter and Florence Rogers Radabaugh, graduated from Marietta High School with the class of 1941. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War II with 26 months in the South Pacific and the Korean War with 12 months in Korea. He was a graduate of Officers Candidate School in Fort Riley, Kansas, and was a member of the American Legion. He was retired from the State of Ohio as a claims supervisor with the Bureau of Unemployment and was also a farmer. He is a member of the Cutler Chapel Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dennis Radabaugh; daughter Pamela (Dan) Adriance of Clearwater, FL; sons: Kenneth Radabaugh of Belpre and Reginald (Joyce) Radabaugh of Vincent; grandson Robert Andrew (Jessica) Blum, raised in the home, and serving 3rd duty in Iraq, stepdaughter Robin Blum (Bill) Fritz of Franklin, TN, and stepson Ronald (Melody) Blum of Fleming, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Rod is also survived by his Aunt Chloe Roberts of Harrisville, WV; sister-in-law Rose Radabaugh of Utica, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ruth Wamsley Radabaugh and 2 nephews.
