Carl and Virginia Magers

Carl E. Magers, 77, of Marietta passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017, at his home.  He was born January 28, 1940, a son of the late Carl Franklin Magers and Betty McCracken Magers.  He was employed at Dravo and also as a truck driver.  Carl enjoyed NASCAR, Ohio State football, camping, fishing and attending his sons and grandsons sporting events.

Virginia Wiley Magers, 76, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born December 14, 1940, at Beverly Route 1 to the late Walter Reed Wiley and Mary Phyllis Rubesch Wiley.  Virginia graduated in 1958 in the first graduation class of Fort Frye High School.  She worked at Richardson Printing Company for 28 years and loved her job and all the people she worked with.  She enjoyed flower gardening, taking long walks and her dog “Red.”
Carl and Virginia are the proud parents of two sons, Mark Odell (Brenda) Magers and Brant Wiley (Teri) Magers and two grandsons, Austin Wyatt Magers and Carter Owen Magers.
Carl is also survived by his son Scott Kidd, brother Harry D. (Carolyn) Magers and sister Pat (Alan) Ralston.
Virginia is also survived by her brother Douglas Wiley and 3 sisters, Glenda (Dave) Flowers, Lois Morris and Peggy Kerrney.  She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Martin Wiley.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday (Sept. 19) from 1 until 3 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home.  Graveside services will follow at 3:30 in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown.  Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
