Carol June Hall

Carol June Hall, 82, of Marietta, passed away at her home at 10:15 am on Saturday, August 6, 2011.

She was born in Washington County, Ohio, on November 21, 1928, a daughter of Thurman and Clara Patterson Worstell.  Carol was a homemaker and later employed and retired from J. C. Penney’s in Marietta.  She was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church.  Her love for her family and friends will be sincerely missed.

She was married for 59 years to Gale T. Hall who preceded her in death October 17, 2005.  She is survived by one daughter and two sons:  Linda (Joe) Thomas, Larry (Nancy) Hall and Charles (Cindy) Hall all of Marietta, 8 grandchildren:  Cathy (Don) Menarchek of Parkersburg, Bret (Katie) Thomas of Marietta, Christopher (Stacey) Hall of Marietta, Adam Hall of Columbus, Charla Hall, Kala Hall, Justin Hall and Aaron Tornes all of Marietta; 8 great grandchildren:  Hannah and Peter Thomas of Marietta, Ben, Anna, Nic and Seth Menarchek of Parkersburg, Webb Hall and Emma Stubbe of Marietta.  She is also survived by one brother and two sisters:  Margaret (Ray) Brewer of Largo, FL, Bernard “Pat” (Bonnie) Worstell, and Clara JoAnne (Dale) Masters both of Marietta, Cheryl Hall and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sister Eleanor (Lee) Hendrickson, her brother Earl (Delores) Worstell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday (August 10) at Souls Harbor Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.

A very special thank you to the Marietta Fire Department for the numerous times she needed their caring assistance and a heart-felt thank you for a very special visit.  Thank you to Dr. Curtis Dehmlow and his entire staff, Dr. Roger Anderson, all the nurses and staff from Home Nursing & Hospice, and her many friends who visited and prayed for her continuously.
