Carrie Mae Turner

Carrie Mae Turner, 83, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at home. She was born Tuesday, October 30, 1929, in Decatur Township, a daughter of the late C. W. and Lena Clark Sealey.  Carrie Mae had worked for West View Pottery, Rich Loaf Bakery and eventually retiring from the Marietta Convalescent Center.  She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan who loved her grandchildren, cats and playing cards.  

Carrie Mae is survived by her husband of 47 years Michael Turner, two daughters:  Linda (Bob) Dennis, Debbie (Tulsa) Green and one son Gary Turner; her sister Darlene Smith; four brothers:  Charles, Gene, Gary and Wayne, five grandchildren:  Julie, Scott, Dayton, Brady, Brock and five great grandchildren.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four sisters:  Pauline Funk, Gladys Flesher, Mary Cottrell and Bernice Pickering.
 
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Jan. 3) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday after 2:00pm with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
