Charles E. Worsham

Charles E. Worsham, 63, of Marietta passed away at 6:30 pm on Monday, November 4, 2013.  He was born on January 3, 1950, in Newark, NJ, a son of Paul and Therese Bauergard Worsham. He graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1967. He was employed by the City of Marietta from 1973 to 2002 as an operator at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.  After his retirement, he was appointed by Mayor Joe Matthews to be the official, unofficial weather forecaster for Marietta.

Charles served in the U. S. Navy from 1968 to 1971, serving in Viet Nam.
 
On August 9, 1972, he married Margie Clatterbuck who preceded him in death on May 23, 1993.  Charles is survived by 2 daughters:  Theresa Worsham of East Lake, OH and Jennifer Worsham of Marietta; 3 grandsons:  Jamie (Fiance Justine), Devin and Travis Lindsey, great granddaughter Jaime Lindsey, brother Richard Worsham of Virginia; 2 nephews:  Chris (Rebecca) Worsham of West Virginia and Nathan (Brandy) Worsham of Columbus and several other nieces and nephews.  
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday (Nov. 8) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Mayor Joe Matthews officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.   Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com..
