Charles M. “Mike” Poole

Charles M. “Mike” Poole, 74, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away at 6:45am, Monday, December 15, 2014, at Heartland of Marietta. He was born May 25, 1940, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of Charles Dewey and Mary Lenora Yost Poole. He retired from Union Carbide where he worked as a mechanic.

He married Irma Jean Miller who preceded him in death November 11, 2006. He is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter: David (Kim) Poole of Lowell, Robert J. Poole of Houston, Charles E. (Dianna) Poole of Austin, TX, Jeanne Poole of Mineral Wells, WV; 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Poole, Maddison Poole, Dylan Poole, Lindsay Poole, Jenna Poole, Jimmy Horn, Kenneth Horn; 2 sisters: Nita (C. Brenton) Smith and Pamela (Randall) Snider of Parkersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and granddaughter Jessica Poole.

Memorial services will be held on Friday (Dec. 19) at 3:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hart officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00pm. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
