Charles Raymond “Rugg” Miller, Jr.

Charles Raymond "Rugg" Miller, Jr., 74, of Marietta, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Monday (Oct. 17, 2011) at his home. He was born on Jan. 23, 1937, in Marietta, a son of Charles Raymond Miller Sr. and Mary Goodwin Miller.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He retired from B.F. Goodrich (RJF) after 42 years of service and had served in the Ohio National Guard for nine years.

On Feb. 25, 1961, he married Barbara Born who survives with three sons, Terry of San Francisco, Calif., Tim (Sue) of Stanleyville, and Tom (Kelley) of Newport; three grandchildren, Tommy (Nicole) Miller of Stanleyville, Stephanie (Sonny) Miller of Newport and Amanda (Craig) Moore of Newport; 3 great grandchildren: Alexis and Baylee Miller and Kayden Moore; two stepgrandchildren, Nathan (Jennifer) Sturm and Heidi Smith; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren, Madeline, Tyler, Brandon, Josh, John Michael, Tifani, Brayden, Tommy, Laci, Jaydynn, brother Ken (Jan) Miller of Moncks Corner, S.C.; several nieces and nephews; and his loving pet, "Princess."

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Elaine; brother, Richard Arlan; in-laws, William and Betty Jane Born; twin great-grandchildren, Kaelin and Devan Miller.
