Charles Robert “Bob” McKnight

Charles Robert “Bob” McKnight, 78, of Reno passed away Wednesday morning, November 26, 2014, at his home.  He was born May 10, 1936, in Reno a son of Charles Edward and Mary Iota Warfield McKnight.

Charlie “Bob” had been employed at Union Carbide Plastics retiring after 40 years of service.  He was a member of Reno Christian Church and Reno Volunteer Fire Department.  He enjoyed western square dancing, golfing, fishing and hunting.

On September 16, 1954, he married Kay Biehl McKnight who survives with 4 daughters:  Vicki Hubl McKnight of Reno, Pam (Skip) Smith of Vincent, Deborah (Michael) Basim of North Carolina, Patty (Dave) Shreve of Woodsfield; 9 grandchildren:  Clint Hubl, Charles Hubl, Christy Rolfe, Mandy Johnson, Nichole Hutchins, Joe Basim, Kelsey Lafferre, Kimberly Lafferre, Korey Lafferre; 7 great grandchildren, his sister Maxine Racer of Cincinnati and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Evelyn Weekley and Marlene McKnight.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Dec. 1) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hastings officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday after 2:00 with family present 2-4 & 6-8.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
