Charles W. “Bill” Frum

Charles W. “Bill” Frum, 80, of Marietta passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009, at 12:47 pm at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 21, 1929, in Williamstown, WV, a son of Carlton and Mary Page Frum.  Bill was a member of the Teamster’s union and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving in Korea.  He was a life member of VFW Post 5108 and American Legion Post 159 in Williamstown.

On February 27, 1953, he married Dorothy Lucas Frum who survives with 3 sons and 1 daughter:  Martin “Marty” (Judy) Frum of Ft. Worth, TX, Michael Frum of Rockwall, TX, Matthew (Rita) Frum of Marietta, Macey (Ken) Terry of Reno, NV; 7 grandchildren: John Frum, Joshua Frum, Jeremy Frum, Megan Bonauro, Lindsey Estes, Hunter Frum, Spencer Frum; 3 great grandchildren:  Dylan Frum, Chase Estes, Sophia Bonauro.  Also surviving are 1 brother and 2 sisters:  Robert Frum, Betsy Caltrider, Barbara Beaver and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Thomas Daly Frum.

A gathering of Bill’s friends will be held on Thursday (September 10th) at American Legion Post 159 in Williamstown from 6 until 9 in the evening.  McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
