Charolett V. Martin

Charolett V. Martin, 77, of Marietta, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour  on Monday, February 6, 2012, in Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family.  She was born on May 28, 1934, in Marietta a daughter of Edward and Lucille Eddy Miller. Charolett was a licensed practical nurse and retired from the surgical department at Marietta Memorial Hospital after 28 years.  She was a life member of Ladies Eagles 458 and Women Auxiliary of the Moose 1623.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Martin whom she married on February 10, 1952.  She is also survived by 3 daughters:  Sandra (Richard) Hall of Marietta, Debi (Rodney) Gordon of Coolville, Donna Clift of Marietta; grandchildren: Jason, Joshua, Matthew,  Brittany, John, Jazmin, and Kyle; 15 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters:  Susann Harris, Mary Cantwell, Edward Miller and Johnny Miller.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth, sister, Naomi “Kitty” Hill, brother, James W. Miller and brother-in-law Clyde Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Feb. 10) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Kapple officiating.  Entombment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at:   www.mslfuneralhome.com.
