Clyde O. Hill
Clyde O. Hill, 90, of Marietta, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 29, 2011) at Heartland of Marietta. He was born on Feb. 22, 1921, in Marietta, a son of Clyde and Lilly Forrester Hill Sr. Clyde was employed by Ohio Edison in construction and was a veteran of WWII, and a life member of VFW Post 5108.
He was married to Naomi Miller who preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 2003. Surviving are three sons and one daughter: Arlene (Wayne) Pricer of Dallas, Texas, David (Cheryl) Hill, Thomas (Rebecca) Hill, and James Hill, all of Marietta; two grandchildren, Chris Angelone and Sheri Sampson; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Edith Dick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Danny Hill; and sister, Margarite Warner.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Jan. 3, 2012) at 10 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon after 2 p.m. with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
