Dana Earl Beebe

Dana Earl Beebe was born on May 29, 1926 and died on Feb. 5, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born in Watertown to Charles and Clancie Beebe. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Owens Beebe, whom he married on April 15,1982, and lovingly cared for him, and one sister, Eula Bell Reed of Watertown. Additionally, he is survived by his former wife, Nona Janks of Elkton, MD and their children; Robert (Ramona) Beebe of Elkton, MD, Michael Beebe of Torch, Sharon (Ed) Ashlock of Dardenelle, AR, Patrick (Jayne) Beebe of Fleming, Brenda Beebe (Doug) Duncan of Springfield, and Christina (Jeff) Masters of Little Hocking, OH; and step-children Michael (Jennifer) Owens and Earl W. Owens (Ronda) of Marietta, and Missy (Clark) Riffle of Charleston, WV; 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill, Gayle and Lyle Beebe, daughter Bonnie Beebe, son James P. Beebe, step-daughter Darla Joseph, and granddaughter, Anna Laura Masters.

Early in his career, Beebe worked for Marietta Concrete Building/Silos. He later formed his own company Beebe Construction, and was owner of The New Mecca and The Little lnn. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and nephews and relished his yearly fishing trips to Canada with his buddies and family. He had a passion for NASCAR racing. He was a sports buff and paced the sidelines of games and rooted for the Warren Warriors, Marietta College Pioneers, The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Atlanta Braves.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 on Tuesday evening, February 8th with services following at 6:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home 314 Fourth Street in Marietta. Burial will follow at Watertown Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warren High School Athletic Program, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent, OH 45784.
