David J. Long

David J. Long, 86, of Reno, passed away at 3:30 am on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at his home. He was born on May 12, 1926, at Neffs Ridge, a son of Floyd Homer and Nora Arlena “Lena” Cline Long. He attended Lawrence School and retired after 32 years from B. F. Goodrich in the Shipping Department.

On October 28, 1950, he married Patricia Boswell who survives with children: Pamela (Kelly) McLeish of Reno, Jodell Habegger of Hinesville, GA, grandchildren: Chad W. Hall and Brian D. Hall both of Reno; great grandchildren: Morgan Hall, Maliki Hall and Makenzie Fenton, brother Ralph Long of Marietta and sister Ruth Eddy of Reno.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Virgil Long and Edward “Gene” Long.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (September 24) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Steve DeLay officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
