David W. Patterson

David W. Patterson, 74, of Marietta, passed away on Sunday (Nov. 13, 2011) at Heartland of Marietta. He was born on Sept. 4, 1937, in Marietta, a son of Floyd H. and Edna Shepherd Patterson. David was a graduate of Marietta High School. He retired from Elkem Metals and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

David was married to Betty Patterson who preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 2011. He is survived by his brothers, Jerry Patterson of Marietta, Dale Patterson of Biloxi, Miss., and was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd H. Patterson, Jr. and Vern Patterson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Nov. 17) at 1 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Roger Rush officiating. Burial following at Eddy's Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon after 2 p.m. with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
