Dean E. (Gear Jammer) Conner
Dean E. (Gear Jammer) Conner, 67, of Warren Chapel Rd has gone home to be with the Lord, following a long illness.
He was born Oct. 11th 1940 in Washington County to Darrell E and Laura M. Davis Conner. He attended a one-room school, Warren Elementary and Vincent High school. He was an over the road truck driver for over thirty years until his medical retirement in 2001. He was a member of Bethel Lighthouse Church. He enjoyed nascar, fishing, camping, wood working as well as his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn McCauley, two daughters Laura Conner and her special friend Jeff Harris of Marietta and Teresa Wagner and her husband Doug of Goshen, IN and one step-son Leonard Waters II and special friend Roberta Meyer of Tallmadge, OH. Ten grandchildren: Kari Wagner,Samantha Tempelton,Tejai Conner,Jestena Wagner,Stefanie Brookover,Sierra, Dakotah and Austyn Waters, Justin and Sara Harris. Two sisters Nancy Eillen Harris of Fort Wayne IN and Barbara Jean Barnett and her husband Jerry of Salvisa KY. His mother-in-law Barbara McCauley of Marietta, a brother-in-law David McCauley and his wife Sharon of Lowell OH. Plus a number of nephews and neices and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a brother Bobby along with a number of aunts, uncles, his father-in-law Clarence McCauley, a brother-in-law Roger Harris.
Services will held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5th,at Bethel Lighthouse Church with Gary Drake giving the massage. Internment at Gravel Bank Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 pm on Thursday with family present from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 and at the church after 10:00 am.
