Debra “Debi” Sue (Burton) Graham

Portrait of Debra “Debi” Sue (Burton) Graham

Debra “Debi” Sue (Burton) Graham passed away on April 4, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Debi was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 15, 1950. Debi was a 1968 graduate of New Albany High School and lived most of her life in Columbus, Ohio, having recently moved to Marietta, Ohio to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard Burton and Carlene (Rieser) Evans, and her brother Richard “OB” Burton II.

She is survived by her son, John (Dena) Graham, grandson Caleb Graham, sister, Sheila Roberts, nieces Angela “Andi” Roberts and Natalie Vawter as well as great nephew, Ian Vawter and great nieces Adrienne and Lydia Vawter.

Debi was a lover of nature with a special fondness for birds and flowers, especially irises and violets. Her love of trees inspired her artistic side, and she created many beautiful and unique trees out of twisted wire that she often gifted to friends and family.

Debi had a warm laugh and a big heart, and she loved to spend time with friends playing board games, cards, and mahjong. She was a cat lover through and through, and pampered several feline companions throughout her life, including her most recent kitty, a sweet calico named Izzabelle.

There will be a celebration of Debi’s life with the location and date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Save a Kitty Feral Cat Program. Donations can be made online at saveakitty.org or via mail at Save a Kitty Feral Cat Program, P.O. Box 1442, Parkersburg, WV 26102.

McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
