Donald “Don” Raymond Thomas

Donald “Don” Raymond Thomas, 73, of Newport, Ohio passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 26, 1947, to Raymond and Velda “Betty” Thomas.

On November 13, 1964, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Sue “Susie” Smith. He is survived by his wife of 55 years and 4 children: Paulina Thomas, Ferrin (Peggy) Thomas, Janell (John) Thomas, Amber (Shawn) Mosser, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 fur babies Toby and Bear, siblings: Ronnie (Debbie) Thomas, Jan “Sis” Thomas, Carolyn “Sue” (Brian) Meyers, Larry (Cheryl) Thomas, Mary Lou (Darrell) Wittekind, Sandy Newman, Jerry (Carla) Thomas and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Betty Smith, brother Roger (Peggy) Thomas, great granddaughter Sophia Thomas, nephew Shane Thomas and brother-in-law Ralph Newman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (June 5) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Newport Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
