Donald E. Francis, 91, of Marietta passed away at 7:30pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015, at The Arbors of Marietta.
He was born April 1, 1923 to Arthur and Doyle Drake Francis. Don had been employed at Crescent Supply and Brickwede Furniture. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and a member of Faith Bible Church at Williamstown.
On September 28, 1946, he married Maxine Lincicome who survives with 1 daughter, Judy (Lloyd) Van Fossen; 3 grandchildren: Lisa (Jeff) Mattheiss, Jennifer (John) Sentell and Michael (Christy) Van Fossen and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (Mar. 11) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Tunnel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
