Dwight Victor “Vic” Hendershot

Dwight Victor “Vic” Hendershot, 71, of Waterford passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on April 7, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born the thirteenth of fourteen children on March 26, 1953 to John Sr. and Irene Hendershot at their family home.

Vic was a 1971 graduate of Waterford High School. In retirement, after a 32 year career at Eramet, he enjoyed taking care of his wife in her last years, drinking coffee on the porch and looking through pocket change. He was a member of Salem UMC and CONECA error coins.

Vic was married to his soul mate, Donna (Lupardus) for 32 years. She preceded him in death. Vic is survived by his son, Trent, granddaughters, Autumn ( Briar Schultheisz) and Audrey Hendershot (Charles) and great grandson Leeland Victor Schultheisz. Also brothers, Ronnie, John Jr. (Jackie), Gary and Albert (Rhonda) Hendershot; sisters Gwen Sword, Yvonne (Ronald) Erb and Karen Morse.

Vic was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Jack, Ivan and Jim Hendershot; 3 sisters: Cletis Rummer, Joretta Kiggans and Ernestine (Tiny) Laskey.

A graveside service will be held at the Barlow Cemetery on Saturday, April 27 at 2:00 pm.
