Earl F. Gutberlet

Earl F. Gutberlet, 72, of Marietta, went home on Monday, May 21, 2012, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.

He was born on February 20, 1940, in Marietta a son of Earl D. and Alfreda L. King Gutberlet. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1958, was a member of the U. S. Army Reserves and Evergreen Bible Church. He retired from Fenton Art Glass in 2000.

On June 28, 1959, he married Janice Heslop Gutberlet who survives with 1 daughter and 3 sons: Deborah Huffman of Belpre, Merle (Lori) Gutberlet of Columbus, OH, Earl (Linda) Gutberlet of Spartansburg, PA, Michael (Cheryl) Gutberlet of Mauldin, SC, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Julia (Ronald) Wright of Marietta and Elaine Mace of New Marshfield, OH and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Sarah Sue Huffman, and 2 brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (May 25) at 11:00 am at Evergreen Bible Church with Pastor Steve Thibault officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with a reception following at the church. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral home.
