Edna C. Perry

Edna C. Perry, 86, of Marietta passed away Sunday, March 8, 2009 at her home.

She was born September 30, 1922 to the late Watson and Gertrude Francis Smith.

She was a graduate of Marietta High School. She married Romeo E. “Bo” Perry on June 30, 1942.  She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She enjoyed dancing, camping, traveling and spending time with her family and faithful companion, Peppie.

She is survived by two daughters Norma Jean Corp and her husband Arthur of Whipple, and Carol Diane Deming of Marietta; three grandchildren; Patrick Deming (Margot) of Springfield MN, Lisa Hill (Robert Jr.) of Whipple and Diane Rodgers (Ron) of Glouster; five great grandchildren; Monica and Trevor Deming and Katie, Rachel and Laura Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Romeo E. “Bo” Perry on December 24, 1998.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Albert “Smitty” Smith and two sisters Katherine Morgan and Freda Smith.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am on Thursday March 12th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Father Richard Heller officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 pm until the hour of service, with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.
