Edward O. Hinzman
Edward O. Hinzman, 86, of Marietta, passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 23, 2011) at Harmar Place. He was born on March 18, 1925, in Jackson County, W.Va., a son of William and Emma Hinzman. He was a retired welder for Benson Truck Body, Inc.
On May 17, 1947, he married Ethel Keerps who preceded him in death on June 26, 2005.
Edward is survived by one son and one daughter, Floyd (Linda) Hinzman of Waynesville, Ohio and Eva (John) Perine of Marietta; four grandchildren, Charles Hinzman of Waynesville, David Hinzman of South Lebanon, Stephen Hinzman and Carrie Taylor both of Marietta; three great-grandchildren, Mariah, Emma and Robert, sister Amy Johnson; sister-in-law, Wanda Phillips; and brother-in-law. Floyd Keerps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and one sister, Argel, Award, Arnel, Denver, and Ora Hinzman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Oct. 27) at 10:30 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the Rev. Diann O'Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
