Edwin Paul Bonnette

Edwin Paul Bonnette, 62, of Marietta passed away peacefully at home on February 12, 2019. He was the youngest child of Virgil and Lorraine Bryan Bonnette.

Edwin was an avid lover of music of all types. He enjoyed singing, playing drums and listening to records and CD’s. Edwin had a collection of over 3,000 record albums and CD’s. He had a passion for professional baseball and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Edwin enjoyed being with his family and attending family celebrations, especially birthday parties. He loved going to WASCO and being with his friends who attended and worked there. Edwin had worked at WASCO for 40 years and scheduled his life around the wonderful activities that it provided.

Edwin is survived by brother Lowell (Charlene), sister Jeanette and brother Roger (Kathy) and a brother-in-law Edward Wilson. He had several nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Harper) Lawson, Amy Varnish, Ellen (Scott) McVicar, Joe (Katie) Starkey, Janis (Greg) Doak, Ethan Bonnette and Emily (Mark) Hendershot. Also surviving are great nieces and nephews Abby (Sal) Carfagna, Santino DiSabato, Nathan McVicar, Lucas McVicar, Taylor Starkey, Faith Varnish, Braun Doak, Wyatt Lawson, Wade Starkey, Estella Doak, Ryleigh Bonnette, Lillian and Garrison Hendershot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Husarik and brother-in-law John Starkey.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Karl Kesselring officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday. The family requests that those who wish, wear a favorite sports team shirt or hat to the visitation and funeral in Edwin’s honor.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to Hospice and Lois Hasley’s group of workers, Cayla Collins, Doris Peale, and Faye who graciously cared for Edwin during his last days.
