Erma “Jean” Bell Seevers

Erma “Jean” Bell Seevers, 86, of Marietta, passed away at 9:50pm, Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born October 10, 1928, in Michigan, a daughter of Dewey P. and Golda W. Bogard Bell.  Jean was a member of Reno Christian Church and a homemaker.

On July 1, 1950, she married Gale Wallace Seevers who preceded her in death on July 13, 1992.

Jean is survived by 3 sons and 3 daughters:  Gary (Melanie) Seevers of Farmington, MN, Ronald Seevers of Reno, OH,  Byron Seevers of Jordan, MN, Carol Ash of Richmond, VA, Karen Grasley of Marietta, Diane Seevers of Marietta; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Four sisters also survive: Norma Vannoy of Marietta, Ann (Dewey) Yarley of Durham, NC, Shirley (Bob) Schwindt of Naples, FL, Sandra (Mike) Newlon of Reno, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her son Gale Wallace Seevers, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Dec. 15) at 1:00 pm at Reno Christian Church, St. Rt. 7, Reno, with minister Timothy Seevers officiating.  Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Sunday after 2:00pm with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 and at the church one hour before the service.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
