Ernest E. Phillips

Ernest E. Phillips, 78, of Marietta, passed away at 8:07am Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1935, in Jackson County, WV, to Homer and Ona Bice Phillips. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had been employed at Fenton Art Glass Company for 30 years. He was a member of Williamstown Church of God.

On October 22, 1977, he married Mary Flowers who survives with 3 sons and 1 daughter: Lee, Donny, Max, Rebecca Lassiter, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Feb. 24) at 3:00 pm at Williamstown Church of God with Reverend Ron Blevins officiating. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Sunday after 3:00 pm and at the church Monday after 2:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
