Ethel Louise Gulotta

Ethel Louise Gulotta, 92, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, May 06, 2013, at Harmar Place. She was born on December 15, 1920, in Marietta a daughter of Lemuel and Florence Miller Hess. Ethel was a 1940 graduate of Marietta High School, had worked for Dr. Ford Eddy as a bookkeeper and receptionist. She moved to Florida for several years and upon her return to Marietta, she volunteered at Marietta Memorial Hospital for 21 years and won awards for her high volunteer hours (she was the only volunteer to have her own office).

Ethel is survived by her son William Miller of Salem, OR, brother Dean E. Hess of Huber Heights, OH and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Buddy” Gulotta, and 2 brothers, George and Thomas Hess.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (May 9) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Janice Hill officiating. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
