Evelyn Henrie Treadway

Evelyn Henrie Treadway, 82, of Marietta passed awat at Marietta Memorial Hospital Sunday, June 16, 2013. She was born September 15, 1931, in Wood County, WV. Evelyn was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1949. She had worked for Ohio Bell as a telephone operator in Marietta and Canton, OH, and had also worked at Walker of Parkersburg.

Evelyn is survived by her six sisters: Katherine (Earl) Treadway, Mary Smith, Frances (David) Conroy, Helen Bennett, Linda Henrie, Dorothy Bradford and 2 sisters-in-law, Anna and Pat Henrie of this area and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Treadway, parents James and Violet Bayles Henrie, brothers: Hubert, Dan, Harold, Gene, Ralph, Bill and John Henrie and sister Garnet Kerns.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (June 19) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Mugrage officiating. Interment will follow in Putnam Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday after 2:00 with family present 2-4 & 6-8. Message of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
