Evelyn Joy Rowley
Evelyn Joy Rowley, 83, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Harmar Place in Marietta. She was born on December 5, 1937, in Rockdale, TX a daughter of Harry L. and Margaret Doss Bland.
Evelyn was a 1956 High School graduate and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and also obtained her Real Estate License. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired in 1982 after 25 years of service. Evelyn was a member of Warren Chapel Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting and cruising and traveling the country.
On December 5, 1970, she married Larry Rowley who survives with many sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews residing in Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 6) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family will greet friends before the services on Wednesday from 9 until 11. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
