Evelyn P. Gay

Evelyn P. Gay, 75, of Marietta passed away on November 12, 2017, after a long-term illness. She was born March 22, 1942, in Columbus, Ohio to Truman and Cora Goble.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Gay and her parents, Truman and Cora Goble. She is survived by her brother, Kenny Goble of Marengo, Ohio and Family, her sisters Dorthy and Russ Leport of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Esther Goble of Hartford, West Virginia and Family. Her Daughters Brenda and Rob Johnson of Marietta, Ohio and Family, Ruth and Bob Siders of Zanesville, Ohio and Family, Lori Wilson of Marion, Ohio and Family, and Anita Tinnes of Scottsdale, Arizona and Family. Also several cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Evelyn took great pride in her family and loved each one unconditionally. She was devoted to her late husband Charles Gay and her children especially. Evelyn loved taking photos, listening to music, her pets, attending family reunions, playing bingo and art and crafts. She loved spending time with her family, teaching them about life and always helping out where she could. Evelyn will be sadly missed by all that knew her. If you were her friend you were just like family. She was loved by many and will be forever in our hearts.

Thank you to all the Marietta Memorial Hospital Staff, Hospice Staff, Heartland Staff and Caretakers that were there for her during her time of need.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9 am until the time of the service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com
