Frances Ann Ellis Nicholson

Frances Ann Ellis Nicholson, 82, of Marietta passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020, at her home. She was born December 13, 1937, in Marietta a daughter of Dean D. and Zoe Elizabeth Dillie Ellis.

Ann had been employed in the food industry. She spent many years volunteering with the Girl Scouts, was a member of Devola Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, a member of Marietta Band Boosters, devoted dance and sports Grandma, was Mrs. Claus and enjoyed ice cream socials and community festivals. She was a member of Putnam Congregational Church. Ann owned and operated an in-home daycare.

In June 1956, she married Donald L. Nicholson who preceded her in death. Ann is survived by their son and daughters: Rick (Michele) Nicholson of Marietta, Annette (Bill) English of Oregon, OH, Denise Cavitt of Marietta; grandchildren: Christopher (Kristina) Nicholson of Reynoldsburg, OH, Matthew (Erica) Nicholson of Columbus, Daniel Nicholson of Marietta, Sarah English of Tallahassee, FL, Andrew (Samantha) English of Oregon, OH, Sadie Cavitt of Marietta; great grandchildren: Alexis, Amelia, Kenny Nicholson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Ronnie Nicholson and brother Richard D. Ellis.
