Frank Wallace Plaugher

Frank Wallace Plaugher, 71, of Reno passed away at 5:45 am, Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 10, 1947, in Marietta a son of Mark William Plaugher and Hazel Ritchie Plaugher.

Frank was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was employed at Kardex for 33 years until he retired. He was also a member of Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church and a former member of VFW Post 5108.

On August 3, 1968, he married Wayneda Johnson who survives with 2 sons, Frank (Sandra) Plaugher, Sr. and Dustin (fiancé Crissy Parsons) Plaugher both of Reno; 5 grandchildren: Frank Wesley Plaugher, Jr. Levi (Madison) Plaugher, Brandon Plaugher, Colton Plaugher, Derrick Plaugher. Also surviving are his brothers and sister: Brenda Plaugher Palmer and Rodney, Gale and Tony Plaugher and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sisters: Gilbert Plaugher, Wilma Christopher, Betty Hart and Romona Plaugher.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (March 26) at 12:00 pm at Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery with full military honors. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 and at the church one hour before the service.
