Gary L. Hill

Gary L. Hill, 74, of Lower Salem passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at The James Cancer Center at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born in Marietta on April 12, 1945, a son of George and Freda Adamson Hill.

Gary was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1963 and Marietta College in Petroleum Engineering in 1967. He was a member of Putnam Congregational Church. He was employed by Concord Well Service for 40 years before his retirement. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, bee keeping, gardening and watching grandchildren at sporting events.

On March 27, 1971, he married Barbara Anderson who survives with 3 children: Tessa Hill, Treva (Joe) Huffman, Tyson (Paige) Hill; grandchildren: Luke, Zach, Ava, and Ethan Huffman, Jake, Noah and Aaron Hill and his brother Perley F. (Madeline) Hill.

A memorial service for friends and family will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Putnam Congregational Church with Pastor Peter Bridgwood officiating. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
