George Irvin Myers

Beloved husband and father, George Irvin Myers, of Marietta, went home to his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2025.

He was born on April 4, 1940 to the late Glenn Maxwell Myers and Freda Mildred Hendershot Myers in Baltimore, Maryland.

George was a veteran of the United States Marines. In his lifetime he was employed as a glass worker at Fenton Art Glass, coal miner and an over the road truck driver before his retirement.

He married Grace Joanne Buck on November 19, 1966 and is survived by his wife, two daughters, Kimberly Sue Myers, Dianne Myers (Samuel Little), son David Ryan Myers, grandson Garrett Irvin Myers, granddaughter Madison Little and a great grandson Jaxon Irvin Myers. He is also survived by one brother, Arthur Myers and several nieces and nephews and the Ronald Bohlen family who have been wonderful friends and considered family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father James Arthur “Jim” Myers, brothers, Everett Dale Myers, Raymond “Mick” Myers, Robert “Bob” Myers and Gilbert “Denny” Myers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday (July 3) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Paw Paw Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
