Gilbert Eugene Seevers
Gilbert Eugene Seevers, 64, of Marietta, passed away Monday (June 6, 2011) at the Arbors of Marietta.
He was born on September 14, 1946, in Newport, Ohio, a son of Thomas R. and Vera V. Farnsworth Seevers. He loved pulling ponies and going to stock sales. Gilbert had been employed at Kardex for over 37 years.
Gilbert is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Tony) Myers of Whipple and granddaughter, Kayla Myers; brothers Terry (Chris) Seevers of Amesville; Dave Seevers, Zanesville; Roger (Vickie )Seevers, Rodney Seevers, Gary (Debbie) Seevers all of Newport; Gale Seevers, West Virginia and Larry (Pat) Seevers of Palestine Texas; sisters, Linda K. Reynolds, Newport, Karen (Steve) Zoller, Marietta; Vickie Southwick, Barlow; and several nieces and nephews and friend Debbie and her son Taylor.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Sonny Reynolds and niece Tracy Ramage.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, (June 10) at 10 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 9, 2011, with family present from 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m.
